Receiving Assistance

What You Need to Know

We’re glad you’re here, and we’re honored to serve you. Below is everything you need to know before visiting the Hope in Hand Food Pantry:

  • Who We Serve:
We currently serve residents of Rowlett, Garland, Sachse, and Rockwall.

  • How Often You Can Visit:
You may receive assistance once every 7 days. There is no limit on how long you can continue receiving help—come as long as you need.

  • No Appointment Needed:
No pre-registration or paperwork is required ahead of time. Simply come during pantry hours.

  • What to Bring:
Please bring a photo ID and a utility bill showing your current address. This helps us verify service areas and ensure we’re meeting needs fairly.

  • What to Expect When You Arrive:

    • Pull your car under the driveway and stay inside your vehicle.

    • A volunteer will come to you as soon as possible.

    • We will check your ID, ask a few quick questions, and gather the information required to serve you.

    • You’ll be given food directly to your vehicle—no need to get out or stand in line.

  • What We Provide:
Items vary from week to week based on donations and partner support. You can expect a mix of pantry staples, fresh items when available, and other essentials depending on supply.

  • What We Cannot Provide:
At this time, we are unable to offer clothing, gas cards, household bills support, or monetary assistance. If you need additional resources, we can help connect you with local partners who may be able to assist.
