Seeking Christmas help? We do not accept applications through the church itself
but do receive referrals from all Garland ISD school counselors. Each elementary, specialty,
middle, and high school should have our TRP forms. We encourage you to reach out to the counselor
at your child's school and let them know of you need for Christmas. Following submission of your
referral to The Reindeer Project... one of our wonderful volunteers will give you a call!
Because the need is so great, we are sorry, but can only accept referrals from
those within Garland ISD. Please ask your counselor for additional resources.
Since 1999, The Reindeer Project has helped make a very happy holiday for countless families within the community. Each year, GISD counselors refer families in need to our program, and angels are created for each child with their wants and needs. While many are taken to be fulfilled by the community, many are not taken and will need to be shopped for using donations received. We are a donation-based ministry and do not maintain a budget to complete this project. It is only through the immense generosity of community members, area churches, businesses, and individuals, as well as a host of volunteers to make this a wonderful success each year.
There are many ways that you can get involved year 'round! If you have questions regarding any of the opportunities below, please email us at thereindeerproject@fccrowlett.org.
1.) Volunteer to help interview families and intake information needed for wants and needs (over the phone.)
2.) Bilingual? We need you! Consider giving of your time to interview, as Spanish-speaking volunteers are always greatly needed.
3.) Look for great sales! We need NEW clothing items and toys for children aged 0-18. Consider making a donation for our general stock. Remember, we shop our stock first before sending a shopper to purchase.
4.) Donate monetarily! This ministry is solely donation-based and rely on the generosity of our community to fulfill all the children not taken from our Angel trees.
5.) Talk with your employer or local businesses about putting an Angel Tree in their location! We can do a few Angels or many, every little bit helps!
