Curriculum is based on age appropriate material which teaches the Bible in a way that makes it relevant to their daily lives.
We offer a special 5th & 6th grade transitional class. This class helps our up-and-coming middle school students explore what it means to be a youth in Christ's church today; what is expected of youth at FCC; the stress and pressures of being a "youth" in middle school; a refresher course on the Bible, Faith, Disciple Identity, Christianity in a larger sense and FCC History. Each student also has a 7th or 8th grade mentor who helps them acclimate to life as a teenager!
Throughout the year, we offer special Bible studies for youth that focus around a theme and last anywhere from 3 - 6 weeks.
Through these and other youth activities they can realize it is possible to be a Christian...still have fun...and make a difference in their school and community.
Summer Camps are designed for fun and fellowship with other youth from the North Texas Area which focus on nurturing their relationship with God. Chi Rho Camp for youth that have completed sixth and seventh grade.
Eighter's Camp, A Christian Sexuality education experience for youth that have completed eighth grade.
Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) Conference for youth that have completed ninth through twelfth grades.
Mid-Winter weekend camps for youth are held in February.
Wednesday Night-6:30 pmLed by the Youth Minister and Youth Minister Team
Mission TripsThe 2010 trip the youth visited San Antonio, Texas. We assisted SAMS Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, and the Inman Christian Center. We were blessed to be joined the youth groups from First Christian Church - Frisco, and First Christian Church - Gainesville. Almost 40 people helping and serving the Lord!
In past years, youth have been blessed by participating in mission work throughout Texas and the southern states. They have had life changing experiences by giving to others in Soup Kitchens, Habitat For Humanity, Orphanages, Nursing Homes, Indian Reservations, Homeless Shelters, Children's Shelters, Day Camps and Senior Adult Community Centers.
As a result of the mission work of our youth, we now have a Food Pantry! They continue to broaden our horizons!
