Both services last about an hour.
Communion is offered to all, every Sunday.
Contemporary and Traditional services offered.
Details and sample videos below.
Upon entering the sanctuary you will be given a copy of the weekly worship bulletin which has an outline of the day's service and other information about our church. Before the service begins, the announcements and church related events will be displayed on the large video screen so you can become better acquainted with the many different ways to become more involved in the life of FCC-Rowlett.
During the service, the video screen is used to project scripture, song lyrics and visual images so you can directly participate in worship as you feel comfortable. This is followed by prayer, a welcome, and the day's scripture reading. Communion is next and open to all believers in Jesus Christ and you are invited to share in the celebration with us or just enjoy the inspiring music. Offerings are taken, but please feel welcome as our guest, with no pressure to give. We do hope you'll drop a visitor information card in the offering basket, so we can be in touch and respond to any information you have requested.Following Holy Communion is the message which is interesting, challenging and relevant to our daily life. The messages are always rooted in scripture and understandable in relevant terms. We follow the message with prayer and songs.
The service typically starts with some upbeat music from "NewLight" our talented praise and worship band. They do a great job leading our music with a contemporary feel (guitars, keyboards, drums and vocalists). They play songs by popular contemporary Christian artists along with originals they have written. Expect some great singing and music in a relaxed worship service.
Our visitors have told us they really feel comfortable in the contemporary worship service. Church is about God and worship, but it's also about community and friendship, and we want everyone to experience the genuine warmth and friendliness at FCC-Rowlett.
We hope to see you this Sunday!
The 11:00 worship service is a traditional service of worship which incorporates responsive readings, scripture readings, Holy Communion, organ and piano music, a sermon and stirring music sung by the sanctuary choir. God is praised through word and worship, sacrament and song, preaching and prayer.
Worshipers participate in a more reflective and transforming service that invites the congregation to draw closer to God and to experience the healing grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Sharing in corporate worship with congregational responses, reciting the Lord's Prayer and moments of silence create an environment where life changing revelations can be found.
Please join us Sunday!
Several special services are held during the year. Some are held in the evening including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday (the re-enactment of The Lord's Supper), Good Friday, Christmas Eve and Services of Healing and Prayer.
Different age groups within the church organize and lead the worship services at least once each year, Children's Sunday, Youth Sunday, and Senior Sunday.
Healing Services are held three to four times a year. We believe all healing is of God. Our healing ministry does not detract from the gifts God gives through medicine and psychotherapy and is no substitute for either medicine or the proper care of one's health. Rather, it adds to our total resources for wholeness.
A Service of Healing provides an atmosphere where healing can happen. The greatest healing of all is the reunion or reconciliation of a human being with God. When this happens, physical healing sometimes occurs, mental and emotional balance is often restored, spiritual health is enhanced, and relationships are healed. The basic purpose of spiritual healing is to renew and strengthen our relationship with the living Christ.

Is it important what I wear?
That's a simple one to answer....whatever you feel comfortable wearing! Most people will be dressed casually.....but some feel more comfortable wearing a sport coat and tie or a dress. It's not unusual to see people in jeans, tee shirt and tennis shoes sitting next to others wearing "church clothes". We know God is much more concerned about a person's heart....than the clothes they are wearing.
What kind of people will I meet?
Pretty ordinary people actually...in a Dallas suburb kind of way. We have a diverse cross section of people from Rowlett and surrounding communities. The one thing we all have in common is we enjoy being together to worship in a relaxed environment.
