Ann Dotson has been a Commissioned Minister for the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ since 1992. She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Sociology and also holds a Pastoral Care Specialist certificate.
Before Ann assumed the duties as Senior Minister, she managed all of the Children's Christian Education Programs and Outreach Ministries. She also performed normal ministerial duties such as pastoral care and worship leadership.
Pastor Ann is also a facillitator for the Prepare-Enrich, a customized online assessment tool that identifies a couple's strength and growth areas. These tools help build healthier relationships on any phase of the journey, from engagements and beyond.
Ann's pride and joy is her family, husband Dana (also our Band Leader) and daughters Carrie and Jordan, Son -in -Law, Brian and especially her granddaughter, Kenzie.
Ann has been on staff at First Christian Church since January, 2001.

After hearing a calling early in his teenage years, Chris Huggins recently began pursuing that call to ministry. Chris joined FCC Rowlett in January of 2009, and soon began working with the youth and Youth Ministry Team.
In April that same year, he was installed as Director of Youth Ministries. He has been licensed as a minister by the North Texas Area - Disciples of Christ. Chris was officially installed as a minister within our church May 30, 2010.
We are excited about what Chris has to offer and look forward to upcoming events, growth, and fellowship of our youth program. Chris is originally from Franklin, Texas, is a die-hard Aggie fan, and worships with his wife, Erika who is also our secretary.

Erika Huggins has served as our church secretary since February 2010 and is the wife of Youth Minister, Chris. Erika grew up in Garland, Texas and graduated from South Garland High School.
Erika enjoys reading, fishing, and traveling in her spare time. While they have no children of their own yet, Chris and Erika are parents to their four-legged "sons"; Sinatra, Duke, and Moondoggie.Erika recently added a church 'mascot' to the office, a betta fish, named Elton. Stop by and see him!
Nathan Dame was appointed Director of Music Ministries in April 2013. Away from church, he serves as Director of Choral Activities at Harpool Middle School in the Denton ISD, where he leads a program of 375 students involved in ten performing choirs.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kansas and a Master of Music Education from Texas Woman’s University. Choirs under his direction are consistently receive superior ratings at contests and are recognized throughout the state as “Best in Class” and “Grand Champion.”
He has been awarded numerous teaching awards throughout his career, and most recently was named the North Texas Children’s Choir Teacher of the Year. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys road tripping, spending time outdoors, and storm chasing.

Stephanie Hicks has been the church accompanist since February, 2013. In addition to playing piano at FCC Rowlett, she is a middle school choir director for Denton ISD & holds a Masters of Music Education. Stephanie has played the piano & sang in church choirs her whole life.
Stephanie resides in Denton with her daughter, Hunter, son, Jalen and their Chihuahua, Bella.
Dana Dotson has served as the Director of Contemporary Music since 2002. He also plays guitar and provides vocals for New Light, our praise and worship band.
Prior to this, Dana has been a professional musician since his childhood, and still performs locally from time to time. In addition to music, Dana is involved in marketing and advertising.
Dana's family includes his wife Ann, Associate Minister at FCC, Rowlett, and daughters Carrie and Jordan. The Dotson's have been members of First Christian Church since 2001.
